LoL'ing With Social Media Comedians

Punny puns and really bad dad jokes seem to be what humour is becoming in 2020 for all of us, well that might only be my humorous skills. Although many social media influencers are finding new ways to bring us the LOL’s we require without even leaving our phones. Instead of using their good looks to please our eyes, they are using their comedy and talent to make us cry from laughter and joy. Here are some of the funniest, weirdest but oddly enjoyable social media comedians to cleanse us with there outrageous humour.

Christian Hull

The sass is real with this online funny man. He will provide you with a variety of content from guessing paint colours, guessing phobias and reading hilarious dad jokes. Yes, these may not sound that appealing but he can wow you with his personality and have you watching his videos on repeat. Christian can be super extra in what he sells to you but you will be in love with him and wanting to click that subscribe button.

Laura Clery

Known for her various characters that will make you fall in love with every single one of them including Ivy, Pamela Pupkin, and Helen Horbath of Help Helen Smash. Some of her most recent videos include trying to be sexy on Valentines Day while being pregnant or flirting with her partner while using her different personas and filters. Laura also vlogs about her daily life so if you want some downtime from her humorous and flirtatious videos, she got you covered.

Brandon Rogers

Another YouTube comedian that provides you with the most random but entertaining sketches. Brandon is also great at creating different characters including a mum making a difference, a forgetful grandpa and a swim coach from hell. Brandon has gone to be a success with his tv series Magic Funhouse! Being nominated for Best Comedy Series. Overall he will have you on the edge of your seat with the drama and comedy that is displayed in his videos.

The girl that brings interviewing and dating to a new level. Amelia Dimoldenberg is a journalist, however, she will make sure it is an interview you will not yawn in. Her segment Chicken Shop Date showcases various celebrities that she goes on a date with at a chicken shop and finds out about their life. How is that not the best thing ever? I would love to go on a date at a chicken fast food restaurant. The creativity and uniqueness of her videos are really what sets her apart from everyone else.

JP Sears

If his hair does not engage you than I am sure his parody of various social issues will have you on the floor. JP Sears is able to provide humour through his “modern hippy” topics such as veganism, new age beliefs and people with spiritual beliefs. It may not be everyone’s cup of comedy, but the way he is able to sell items like "How to become a Narcissist" or "How to offend everyone" will make you appreciate the subtle humour that is JP Sears.

The only duo who made this list, BriTANick create clever comedy sketches where they bounce off each other to provide such great content. They don’t use recurring storylines or different characters, but every sketch is totally new and different from everything else. Some of their videos include The Foul Line, The Mystery, and Boys Night In. You never know what is going to happen in the video which is what is so exciting about this duo, the surprise you get throughout the sketches is what makes it memorable.

This next one brings random conversation topics to life and has you rethinking everything that was. Natalie Tran provides you with videos of her having a conversation with multiples of herself about topics that are irrelevant, but we still want answers about it. Some of these include who measures the height of celebrities, why are jigsaw puzzles boring, and the gap on changing room curtains. She is not super extra or out there with her personality but she does provide you with subtle humour that really makes you think about these random topics that have no relevance at all.

Celeste Barber

The final online comedian is very different than everyone else as she focuses more on images than videos. Celeste Barber provides such outrageous yet hilarious mockery images where she reenacts celebrity photos on her Instagram. Yes, maybe these images are not always on point but they are so funny to look at. From Dua Lipa to The Kardashians she has all the A-list celebrities wishing they looked more like her in the photoshoot.

Overall these online sensations have provided us with content for days. With comedic sketches and imagery, we will be on the floor in tears from laughter with them. So let me know if any of these are what you crave in online humour or if you have any other great suggestions for social media comedians.

Creative, Competitive and Crazy are the three C’s that summarise my life.

My creative side began when I was young and came up with the most abnormal stories when playing with toys and the most unusual drawings, this followed me through my school years with my love for graphic design and advertising which I continued to pursue through university and freelancing.

My competitive side is deadly and will always want to be on top, from a simple game of UNO to slamming buttons to win a battle in Mortal Kombat, I always need to win. Escape rooms are also a love of mine so beware if you are in one with me, cause I can be intense.

My crazy side stands out with various quirky attributes including an obsession of wanting to be on Survivor, travelling to the United States of America to meet complete strangers and also having a love for psychotic, horror, crime-filled tv shows and movies.
