It's getting busy in Brissy!
Oh Hello! It’s been a while, we miss you. It's getting busy in Brissy, so come soar with us over whimsical places, fly past whirling axes, get drunk off the fruits of the earth, and dance with us where the land meets the sea. So, slap on the sunscreen and stick around for some summer sun fun.
There's no better time to live in Brisvegas!
Our calendars are undeniably filling up more and more as Brisbane expands further to the social city we all know and love - but the question is, where do we begin? With new events, restaurants, bars and more popping up every day, we have chosen some of the best to showcase in this weeks Word on The Street. Whether it's where to get the most unique Christmas presents or where to take the most aesthetically pleasing foodie pics, we’ve got you covered! As far as we’re concerned, there is no better time to live in Brisvegas!
Welcome to Your New Oasis
We’ve found the perfect place to make your midweek blues go away. Presenting the one and only Nodo! Nodo provides a healthy twist on donuts (baked, not fried and made with naturally gluten-free ingredients!), making your snacking experience less of a guilt trip and more of an extra special treat. However, Nodo do more than just donuts, with an extensive brunch menu (also healthy!) these guys have everything you need to brighten up your week.
Give your elders the gift of your time
This is the fastest moving generation of all and with social media running our lives, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype and lose all sense of reality. While we’re Instagramming and Snapchatting, our elders are left scratching their heads as to why their grandchildren are filming themselves planking on ironing tables and doing the floss.
But whilst we're busy fixing our hair for that selfie, are we missing our chance to learn from our elders?
Dreaming of Paris? Here are the tips you need to know if you're visiting Paris for the first time.
If you’ve ever dreamed of eating the perfect pastry or sipping the worlds nicest champagne – then lovely, Paris is where you need to be! Luckily for you (and for me), I got to spend three beautiful Summer days in the City of Love and have a handful of pointers that would be rude not to share.
And set your Creativity free!
Living one’s dream seems to be a silly fantasy when it comes to adulting.
But what if you could do something to change it all? To open new doors for yourself and actually start walking through them? What if this isn’t everything there is to life - what if there’s more?

Brisbane is your oyster
We love getting out and about, being tourists in our own city and exploring Brisbane's suburbs. This week we've zoomed in on the middle of town, cruising through the city towards Albion, making pit stops in Fortitude Valley and Bowen Hills. Each of these area's flaunt epic eateries, cool AF precincts, trendy bars and cafes, shopping districts and so much more. We know it's easy to 'stick to what you know' and can keep in our bubbles, but it's time to stretch the legs and see what else Brissy has to offer. From mini-festivals to Japanese markets, late night bargain hunting and food that'll leave your taste buds in a frenzy, we've found what's hot and happening in upcoming weeks and we think you'll approve.
