These may be some, or all, part of your yearly Australia Day activities. Whatever the tradition, Brisbane will be buzzing with other activities.

The Hottest Weekend
Expect A LOT from the Osbourne Hotel's Hottest long weekend. The've collaborated with Brisbane's favourite liquor brands and DJ's.
On Saturday your true Aussie spirit will come to life with meat pie eating competitions (winner gets a $100 voucher) and a tap takeover by Newstead Brewing Co. With live music from 3pm until late, and did we mention Frosé and frozen cocktail specials?!
On Sunday, jam out to Triple J's Hottest 100 with a Pizza in one hand and an Aperol Spritz in the other. They're serving $10 pizzas all day and have a special Greenhouse Sunday featuring Kid Kenobi.
Whether you're playing cricket, meeting up with the fam, or planning on catching up with mates, or just nursing a hangover, Brisbane Brewhouse has something planned for everyone.
We're talking about true-blue Aussie food, thirst quenching beers, Aussie tunes, Australia v Sri Lanka Test live from the Gabba, to top it all off Triple J's Hottest 100 on Sunday!
Swing on by to Brisbane Brewing Co for a bloody ripper of a special menu to match their fair dinkum beer line up for the weekend. Grab your makes for some grub and a bevo while you listen to true blue Aussie tunes.
If you're on the Gold Coast over the long weekend, be sure to drop into The Burleigh Pavilion for some true blue aussie vibes accompanied with fish and chips and an ice cold bev (or ten).
Celebrate Australia Day at The Bavarian! Australia Day long weekend will kick off on Friday, 25 January with happy hour from 4pm to 6pm. Craft beers, spirits and house wines are all $5, with $1 chicken wings also on offer. A limited-edition Australia Day loaded schnitzel is also available all weekend for $25, featuring a classic chicken schnitty smothered, covered and loaded with authentic Aussie toppings of beetroot, pineapple, bacon, egg and cheese.
Live Aussie Entertainment
Another year...another Aussie Day Festival! Head on over to the Story Bridge Hotel for a day under the sun filled with drinks, food, competitions and the much anticipated COCKROACH RACES. Doors will open at 11am, be a spectator or a racer, it's going to be a blast of a day either way!
Skip the bottle-o and head straight down Ballistic Beer for locally brewed beer and finger-licking good food. The bubs and fur babies join in the celebrations and listen to The Sippy Downs LIVE at the brewery!
Have you got what it takes to be crowned champion prawn peeler? Then make sure to enter “Prawnies“, Hotel Brunswick's annual prawn peeling contest this Australia Day. 1st prize takes home $400!
Heats from 1pm, Kids Prawn Peeling 3pm, Grand final at 4pm, Followed by live music from Salt & Steel.
Triple J HOTTEST 100 BBQ, all weekend in The Triffid Garden with Free Bunnings BBQ's, Special Guest Acoustic Performances & Special guest DJ's. It's going to be one hell of a party.
Celebrate Australia Day watching the Brisbane Brass Band, featuring special guests, the National Youth Band of New Zealand, while relaxing on the lawn.

Why not spend Australia day at the Sunny Coast's Australian themed Amusement Park? Kick off the day with Dunny Races, tug of war, and loads of other entertainment on the Aussie World Oval.

How could a beach festival, live music and fabulous food get any more Aussie? Add Noosa to the mix. Grab your friends and bring the family to join the fun.
Pack a picnic basket or nab a barbeque early at South Bank to spend a day in the city surrounded by the lively atmosphere of Australia Day festivities and be sure to hang around because at 7:30pm Brisbane will be putting on quite the fireworks show.
With fun for the whole family, the night will also boast delicious food vendors and the JJ Richards ‘Aussie Activities Zone’. Relive the fun of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and give beach volleyball a try down by the Broadwater. The little athletes of the family will love the ‘Mini-Commonwealth-Games’.
