The edgy must-have accessory
There’s something that takes my breath away about hand-made leather goods. Maybe it’s due to the knowledge that the maker has been intimately involved with the creative process, or maybe it’s partly due to my inability to sew; either way there is no denying the longevity of a quality-made product. This is what makes Brisbane leather accessories label R& Collective a breath of fresh air in a somewhat disposable fashion industry.
Brisbane city is set to explode on Saturday September 27 as Riverfire takes centre stage in what can only be described as a ‘pyrotechnic extravaganza’ to celebrate the end of Brisbane Festival. As always, this year promises to be bigger and better than ever, so you’ll definitely want a good vantage point and a good spread to help you take in all of the action.
The new dinner menu is aromatic, colourful and unique.
Shouk café’s new dinner menu is aromatic, colourful and unique. Its Middle Eastern flare truly sets the standard in modern day dining. Tucked away on Collingwood Street in Paddington, the atmosphere is homely yet refreshing, with tones of blue, white, dark wood and Middle Eastern hints. From the front, Shouk looks small, but drift on through to their closed-in balcony (intimate) and you’ll be all Shouk up by the ambience of the open dining area.
Barreling into Albion between the 20th-21st of September 2014
The thing about us Australians is that we love our beer. It’s a stereotype, but one we certainly don’t mind enforcing, because beer is a thing that is synonymous with having a good time with your mates. A good beer is a perfect companion when getting together with the family and friends, be it at the bar, over the BBQ in the backyard, or around a campfire.
