Effortless Ways to Win Them Over
One of the greatest things about simple dates is that you go into them without expectations. You don’t imagine a quiet restaurant where you and your date stare across a candelit table, only to meet a crammed shoebox where you can’t catch the waitor’s eye, yet somehow can’t avoid the eye contact of a stranger at a table nearby.
Free Surf, Art & Fitness Pop-Ups with Julian Wilson + World Team
In the lead in to the WSL Championship Tour kicking off at Snapper Rocks, Hurley is bringing a ‘Surfer’s Paradise’ to Coolangatta next week – launching an interactive surf coaching, art and fitness pop-up at the Tweed Heads Greenmount SLSC, with a range of free activities and some of the biggest names in surf on-hand to inspire and educate.
With reigning world champion John John Florence along with Filipe Toledo, Julian Wilson, Kolohe Andino, Carissa Moore, Lakey Peterson and Adrian ‘Ace’ Buchan all in Snapper to compete, some of the Hurley surfers will drop in on the Tweed Heads Greenmount SLSC throughout a jam-packed eight-day program of free surf, art and fitness activations from Friday March 10 to Saturday March 18.
Paradise outside Surfers Paradise
The Gold Coast is defined by its stunning beaches: glistening gold sand, crashing waves, and crisp crowds, basking in the scenery. Whether it’s Broadbeach, Palm Beach, or Surfer’s Paradise, the clue is in the name: we’re a bit obsessed with our beaches. Sometimes, braving Burleigh Beach during tourist season is worth it – when something’s that popular, it has to be good (even if it’s only to get a glimpse of some hot beach bods). But, other times you need a quiet, relaxing spot, where you can go 10 seconds without someone blocking your sun (no one owns the sun, but this bit is definitely yours), seeing an unfortunate tan line, or having a tennis ball crash into your face from a game of beach cricket (always keep your eye on the ball!). With so many beaches and water holes, there are plenty of picturesque, secluded spots to enjoy!
Best of Eat, Sip, Stay, Treat & Play
Mermaid Beach is the most happening suburb on the coast at the moment! There are new venues opening weekly and with a mix of the Southern Gold Coasts chill vibes and Northern Gold Coasts modern-buzzing side, it holds a unique character. All this topped off of course by the whimsical name, what isn't there to love? If you need more convincing though keep reading..
