Our Fave Spaces To Sip, Stay & Play In 2018
2018. It was the year of the Commonwealth Games, of going new places and trying all of the new places popping up on every corner. With so much to do, so much to see and so much to eat we were never short of things to do, so we thought we'd compile a list of all of our favourites from 2018. Whether it was watching a show, enjoying art or sipping champagne, we had a fabulous time last year!
Feasts, Festivities & Royal Fashion Faves!
Well, it's official - It's 2019! Over the past 365 days we've celebrated diversity at the Commonwealth Games, eaten our way around the Gold Coast, enjoyed theatrical talent at the Home of the Arts and spent way too much time at the beach soaking up the sun. We said goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019 with a bang, and now it's time to step into the new year and all of the magic that it will bring. 2019 already has shows, food, fashion and culture in spades - And we can't wait to see what else this year will bring!

Five Cooking Classes Perfect For Unleashing Your Inner Chef
Cooking. Some of us were born to cook, and some of us are allergic to the kitchen and could probably set fire to the stove top given half the chance. It's a skill that not everyone is born with, but cooking classes are popping up all over the Coast and are opening their hearts and kitchens to teach us all the secrets behind cooking totally drool-worthy dishes in our own homes. Whether it's Vegan and Vegetarian food or Pizza and Pasta feasts, you'll find a cooking class to suit all of your foodie desires - And with the weather less than perfect, is there any better time to cuddle up to a big plate of Pizza than now?
Ten Activities To Save For A Rainy Day
Welcome to Australian Summer - When it's either scorching hot or pouring rain. Luckily on our end of the Coast we're generally blessed with long days full of sunshine, but when the Heaven's open and it starts pouring we're often at a loss for things to do - And when it pours for more than a day, we tend to get a little stir-crazy. We may not be able to go on long hikes or work on perfecting our Summer tans, but that doesn't mean that we can't still have a little fun on the Coast with these ten wet weather boredom busting activities!
Arts, Entertainment and Shopping!
Just in case you weren't aware yet - There's some seriously cool stuff going down on the Coast this week! We've got events from Coomera to Cooly, with the revival of Buskers by the Creek back for yet another year and the grand opening of Coomera Westfield this Thursday. Grab your gal pals and shop to your hearts content with a huge range of sales in just about every store in Westfield, or head down to Cooly Tavern for two days of art, music and entertainment in Australia's biggest busking Festival! Not a fan of art and music? Don't worry, Westfield has plenty of food too!
German, Gourmet & Gold Coast Fashion Week!
October is one of our favourite months of the year. Not only is it warm enough to go outside again, but every other restaurant is gearing up for Halloween and Oktoberfest! Beer and Bratwurst are around every corner, while the more fashion-forward of us are hitting the shops to check out all of the newest trends for the Melbourne Cup and Gold Coast Fashion Week! Of course, shopping is hard (and hungry) work - So why not hit up Crafted Festival next weekend before you go?
Ten Must-Visit Gold Coast Markets
In case you didn't know, the Gold Coast has some seriously cool markets. Whether you're after a cool gift for your sister, a cute trinket for your house or you're just down for the food, our markets have something for absolutely everyone. With the days warming up and the sun shining again, there's no better time to grab the gals and head out to one of the Coast's many markets - And what better way to wind down after a hard week than with some retail therapy?
Treat Your Pooch To The Paw-Fect Day Out!
Our pets are part of our family, so pooches and their parents are invited to spend the day at The Marine Village as the precinct hosts its annual Paws and Pizzazz celebration on Sunday, September 9 from 9am to 2pm. The pet-friendly event is dedicated to four-legged fun with a host of entertaining and educational activities lined up to ensure families and their furry friends have a great day out!
