Holiday Boredom Busters

7 Boredom Busters For All Of Your Kids These Holidays

Holiday Boredom Busters

Remember when we used to love school holidays because we could sleep in late and do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted to? Now it's our kids' turn... And we have to find something for them to do! Sleeping until 11am and watching movies all day is great, but if you're looking for a way to occupy your kids these holidays that doesn't involve PJ's, junk food and TV screens, we've got all of your prayers answered - And you'll even be able to have some fun too!

Under The Sea Experience | September 24 - October 12 @ Tweed Shopping Centre

Tweed Shopping Centre is setting up Australia's first immersive underwater experience, complete with six different sensory rooms to engage all of your little one's senses. Including a beach, rock pool room, kelp forest, jellyfish room and a whale watching room, your little explorers will be able to touch, smell, listen to and see the wonders that live underneath our waves in this exclusive and family-friendly Ocean room!

iPlay | Pacific Fair

We all know that it's easy to burn away the hours playing Arcade Games, so why not burn off some time in Pacific Fair's newly renovated iPlay! Filled with just about every type of game a kid could dream of, including Laser Tag, Bowling, Dodgems and over fifty Arcade Games, your kids will love you for taking them here! Also, they have a liquor license - So you can kick back, relax and enjoy yourself as well!

Get To The Markets

Want to do something that's fun for you as well as the kids? Why not take them out to one of the Coast's fantastic markets! Wake up early and bring your kids down to one of our many beachfront markets, then let them roam among the stalls while you hunt for knick-knacks, gifts or a cute new vintage piece. Once you're all shopped out (or the kids are getting hungry) head over to one of the many food trucks and stalls and enjoy a picnic on the grass! If you're not an early bird or you just want to entertain the kids in the evening for a few hours, there's also evening markets at Surfers Paradise Beachfront, so you can get your shop on in the evening as well!

Take A Cooking Class | The Collective Palm Beach

Have you got a little chef on your hands? Why not take them to one of the kid-friendly cooking classes hosted by The Collective Palm Beach! Running classes from 3-4:30pm every day of the working week, your kids will learn how to make cookies, pizza, pies and more in these classes - And the best part is, they get to eat it too!

I'm a creative at heart - I love reading, I love writing and I love my social media! I spend the majority of my time sipping coffee and finding the next best cafe, but when I get a second off chances are I'll be brunching at my local or running off to whatever event is on that night! During Summer you can find me sipping coffee and tanning down by Burleigh Beach, and in Winter I'll be skiing the slopes of Perisher or buried under a mountain of blankets with chocolate and a good book.
