Gold Coast Fine Dining

Come with us now to the world of fine dining. Where the wine list is as long as your arm and your chair is tucked beneath you, just so. Where waiters will gently place a blanket-sized napkin on your lap and listen attentively while you place your order, as if your mere words are music to their ears. You'll be treated like royalty and eat food fit for a king. Yes friends, it's time to get a little fancy, and indulge in some tip top nosh with the best of Gold Coast's fine dining.

The Fish House

There’s something fishy going on at Burleigh Heads beachfront and we mean that in the best way possible. The Fish House, as the name would suggest, has an amazing array of seafood on their extensive and delicious menu. A far cry from your local fish and chip shop though, this is luxury eating with caviar, oysters and an extensive wine list matched to your meals. Amazing water views stretch all the way down to Surfers Paradise, as you dine in your exposed brick beauty. This is one fine dining establishment that is sure to satisfy any seafood specialist.

Hellenika

Born from the same restaurateur parents as The Fish House, Hellenika shares the high-quality ethos and service, yet brings it’s own traditional Greek flavours to the table. The menu, focused on home-style foods, is designed to be shared amongst loved ones and includes stand outs such as the 5 hour slow baked lamb shoulder, and char grilled octopus. Authentic wines hand picked from Greece and some home-grown options compliment these Mediterranean meals.

Little Truffle Dining Room and Bar

Australian food no longer means a meat pie and a vegemite sandwich, as Little Truffle Dining Room and Bar has proved to us time and time again. With influences from France, Spain and Italy these are the best culinary peers’ modern Australian cuisine could hope for. With house made pastas or flavoursome confit duck to start and delicious cheeses, tarts and soufflés to finish this dining experience takes you on a tastebud tour from beginning to end.

Pethers Mountain Retreat

Touted as one of the most romantic dining experiences on the Gold Coast, this North Tamborine retreat will seduce you and your significant other. Fall in love with the large open sided fireplace, the rainforest settings, and the luscious fare. Wall to ceiling windows make the most of this beautiful and private environment, perfect for those who’ve been struck by cupid’s arrow. Fall head over heels for the menu of delicately presented meals starring venison, quail and scallops.

Salt Grill

The signature restaurant at the Surfers Paradise Hilton, Salt Grill is an open kitchen stage where diners can ogle the culinary skills of the talented chefs and cooks. The main act is modern Australian fare and the freshest produce around. A hand crafted wine cellar sings and dances in unison with the multiple course menus and the whole performance is backed by a choir of intuitive waiters and waitresses.

Citrique Restaurant at Marriott Surfers Paradise

This high class buffet is a seafood lovers Disneyland. Sample the salmon and munch on the mussels. Scoff the scallops and ogle the oysters. Crunch on the crab and pick at the prawns, as this place has all your fishy fare and more. Pizzas, pastas, antipastos, salads, roasts, curries, the list goes on and on and on. The only difficulty here is deciding how to fit it all in…and did we mention the dessert bar too?

Ten Japanese Restaurant

Ten in Japanese can be translated to mean ‘heaven’ and Ten Japanese restaurant is a little slice of just that. Sushi and teppanyaki menus are lovingly designed by a head chef who hails from Kyoto and is well studied in traditional Japanese cuisine. The proof of this is in the pudding (or sushi roll in this case) with menu highlights such as wagyu beef and lobster fresh from the tank. There is also a great wine list and range of sakes available. As Austin Powers would say, “Sake it to me baby!”

Room 81

Not just your usual dining experience, Room 81 at the Sofitel in Broadbeach brings each dish to life with waiters divulging the deepest darkest secrets of each course. And with your freshly acquired knowledge, comes a greater understanding of all the flavours and fresh local ingredients contained within your meals. Along with great waiting service comes an experienced sommelier who matches your wines to your meals in perfectionist style. The beautiful presentation and innovation in the menu is evident in their sand crab and radish cornetto starter. Cornetto’s never looked so good!
